Harry

Harry Edward Styles is an English singer, songwriter, and musician. He was one of the members of One Direction. Born in Holmes Chapel (Cheshire), England, on the 1st of February, 1994. He is the son of Des Styles, and Anne Cox. Harry Styles studied at the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School where he created his own band, composed of 3 classmates. The band was named White Eskimo. In 2009 they participated in the Battle of Bands where thanks to their excellent presentations they won. Despite having been a fan of music, he also wanted to be a lawyer or an physiotherapist. As a worker in the city's bakery Harry Styles could afford to feed his family. In the year 2010, Harry Styles presented audition for The X Factor where he sang Is not She Lovely by Stevie Wonder and was selected. That's why his group split. Nicole Scherzinger told Harry Styles, Liam Payne Zayn Milik Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson that they would form a group named One Direction after the X Factor audition. Simon Cowell was the sponsor of this group. The group was formed in the year 2010. They performed tracks like My Life Would Suffer Without You from Kelly Clarkson, and Total Eclipse of the Heart, by Bonnie Tyler during the competition. This made the group one of the contenders for the prize. However they were in third place in the third place, behind Rebecca Ferguson and winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles, his group and Cowell did not get the win in the contest. However, Cowell provided Harry Styles a 2 million dollar contract with Syco.
