Kelly Clarkson (American singer/songwriter) is a popular American following her win on American Idol's first season. The win was more than an enormous success and a huge success, it also earned her a recording contract for numerous albums through RCA Records 19 Recordings & "S Records. Since her debut in the series, she has released a number of albums. Three of those albums made it to the top of the US Billboard 200. The other albums came near the top. Her name is regarded as one of the most successful American Idol artists. As she achieved success she experimented with different themes and music styles often writing her own songs to her own personal experiences. Because of her distinctiveness and vocal ability, she was awarded critical acclaim as well as various accolades. She was awarded an award called the Grammy Award 3 times. Apart from her music career she has been featured in movies as well as television programs. She is also the writer of the novel for children called River Rose and the Magical Lullaby as well as a member of numerous charities.
