LeBron Raymone James Sr. (born on December 30, 1984) is an American professional basketball player with the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). James is known by the name of King James and is considered to be one of the most successful basketball players in history. James has four NBA championships. There are four NBA MVPs. Four NBA Finals MVPs. Three All-Star MVPs. And two Olympic gold medals. James has earned the second highest number of career goals, and the seventh most assists. He has been selected for the NBA All Star team 18 times. This is a record for the NBA that he has been an NBA All-Star for 18 years. The third-highest number of NBA Finals ever was ten which included eight consecutive games between 2011-2018. James has been chosen for an NBA 75th Anniversary Team and became the NBA's first player who has attained 10,000 points or more, rebounds, and assists throughout his career. He will be the first to do so in 2022. James played at St. Vincent St. Mary High School in Akron in Ohio. James was feted by media across the nation as the future NBA superstar. He was a top pick for the Cleveland Cavaliers selected him with the number one pick of the NBA draft in 2003. He was voted as the NBA most promising rookie in the 2004. Soon he became one of the best players of the NBA, winning the NBA MVP Award twice in the years 2009 and 2010. James signed a free-agent contract following his failure to secure championships for Cleveland. He made the decision to leave Cleveland in order to join Miami Heat, announced on the television show The Decision, is considered among the most controversial free agent moves in sports history.
