Lucy-Liu

Lucy Liu (born Lucy Liu) is an American voice actor, director producer and vocalist. A beautiful, smart and skilled actress, she is an example to Asian actors aspiring to be big stars in Hollywood. She gained fame after numerous popular roles in shows. For instance, in her role in the Ally McBeal series, where she played Ling Woo the villainous character. The fame she gained from the show was translated into movie roles, such as Shanghai Noon or Charlie's Angels. She then delivered an amazing performance in the role of Japanese criminal lord O'Ren Ishii as part of Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Volume 1. In addition, she played lead characters in failed box office films like Rise: Blood Hunter. In animated films like Kung Fu Panda, Tinker Bell and many others, she voiced prominent characters. Mia Mason, in Cashmere Mafia as well as other smaller-screen parts, did not achieve much success. Southland, a critically acclaimed series of police dramas that had Liu playing recurring roles, helped her reestablish her status as a performer. Liu is careful when choosing roles in order to prevent being stereotyped within an industry where competition is fierce. While she's been embracing the roots of her family, she hasn't let them limit her as an artist.
