Lucy-Liu

Lucy Liu is a voice actress, director and singer. She is also an actor. As an intelligent and attractive actor, Lucy Liu acts as a role-model for many Asian actors working in Hollywood who want to succeed. Following a string of appearances in television shows that were popular her name was a household name after being cast on the Ally McBeal legal comedy where she played Ling Woo. Her sudden fame translated into films roles like Shanghai Noon or Charlie's Angels. Her next performance was a dazzling performance in the role of Japanese criminal O-Ren Ishii in QT's Kill Bill Volume 1. Around the same time she was also in leading roles in several film that did not make the top of the charts, like Rise: Blood Hunter. Then, she was able to sing prominent characters for animation films, such as Kung Fu Panda. Mia Mason's role in Cashmere Mafia, a small screen production, didn't yield positive results. A recurring role in the critically-acclaimed police drama Southland allowed her to regain her status as a prominent actress. Liu picks her roles wisely to avoid becoming typecast in such a competitive field. While she embraces her roots but it doesn't mean she has to be in her work being an artist.
