Lucy Liu is a voice actress singer and director. Also, she is an actress. An attractive, clever and gifted actor, she's an inspiration to Asian actors who are aspiring to become big names in Hollywood. Following a string of early appearances on popular TV shows, she achieved fame by joining the cast of the legal comedy series Ally McBeal where she played the villainous Ling Woo. The actress translated her sudden success into big screen roles in films including Shanghai Noon and Charlie's Angels. Then she gave a stunning performance as Japanese crime lord O-Ren as Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Volume 1. While she was in the film she was an actor in films that failed at the box office such as Rise: Blood Hunter were also prominent. Then she began voicing famous characters in animated films, such like Kung Fu Panda and Tinker Bell. Mia Mason from Cashmere Mafia was a small role that did not have any effect. Southland was a highly acclaimed police show in which Liu appeared regularly, was a role which helped to reestablish she is an internationally acclaimed actor. Liu has a lot of care when picking her roles so that she's not a typecast. She has accepted her Chinese roots however she has not let them restrict her creativity.
