Sheryl Underwood is a comic as well as a host on television and actor from the United States. She's most well-known for her role as The Talk's daytime co-host. Sheryl Underwood was born in Arkansas was raised in Arkansas between Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl lives in a family that is turbulent. She was a troubled child. childhood taking care of her older sister Frankie who was afflicted by an illness called polio. Growing up, she had an uneasy relationship to her maternal grandmother. Sheryl claims that in one instance her mother stabbed her father for getting too close to her. Sheryl when she graduated from college was drafted into the military. But, she was interested in comedy. In 1989, she was the first woman to reach the top of the Miller Lite Comedy Search contest. She began her TV career in 1992 appearing as a frequently performing actor on HBO's comedy program Def Comedy Jam. She hosted a show on television at the time of her debut on Oh Drama! She has appeared as host on The Talk since 2011. In addition she has also been in fictional roles on shows such as Bulworth Nikki, and Beauty Shop.
