Debbie Gibson was a successful pop artist who reached fame in the latter part of the 80s. As time passed, newer artists took over the industry, but she continued making her music and pursued her dream. Gibson was born August 31st, 1970 in Long Island, New York City. Her ethnic background includes Sicilian German, Italian and in addition to a little portion of Russian. She is the daughter of Diane Gibson.
